Vacation idea: book a photoshoot!

 

Confession time…

While I love photographing others in their beautiful outfits, and recording them for the annals of sartorial history, I don't like to be in front of the camera, myself. It makes me feel self-conscious; I have a million worries going through my head "What if [X]"?

(What if I look heavier/older than I am? What if I'm not posing right? What if my outfit, which I love, looks unflattering? What if the resulting picture - which I can never un-see - scars me forever?)

And the answer to all those questions is:

"Jennifer, you're being ridiculous - you can always delete the photos."

So I decided to bite the bullet and book a photoshoot while I was in Barcelona. (Does this sound expensive? It wasn't.)

Wait a minute; did I say "a" photoshoot? I meant two. I booked two photoshoots in Barcelona. And then another one while I was in Athens. (Yes, that's right, I booked 3 photoshoots in the space of a couple of weeks.)

I did it via Airbnb Experiences. I got some really fabulous photos (and also, some really terrible ones!) and I'm SO GLAD I DID IT.
