How to do an oversized coat

THIS is how you do oversized!

The coat, trousers, bag and shoes all vibe together - they’re all black and oversized or chunky.

By contrast: The cream turtleneck brings a beautiful contrast of light against the dark, and the sleek fit contrasts with the overwhelm of the oversize. The red nails also add a pretty pop of color.

And while I was blown away by all the perfectly tailored coats in Italy, this oversized look really spoke to me.

Stylist tip

I always tell my clients:

If you’re doing relaxed-fit or loose bottoms, pair them with a fitted top.

If you’re doing a loose or oversized top, pair with fitted bottoms.

And if both top and bottom are loose, you need to make sure you defined your waist (with the waistband or belt).
