Those sleeves!

So excited to finally post some French street style! 

This gorgeous creature is Lucie - here, with her equally enchanting companion, Hugo.

I was in France for a week, ecstatic at the prospect of getting some street style photos there. 

I really didn’t know how people would respond, and Lucie was the first person I approached, as she and Hugo were window shopping in the beautiful village of Colmar. I needn’t have feared; she and Hugo were absolutely lovely.

Dressed all in black, with a bold white sneaker, her statement coat is the *piece* that makes Lucie’s outfit. It’s unexpectedly Zara (at least - I was surprised) - and look at those delicious sleeves and cuffs!

I also loved how Lucie tied the belt into a bow at the back. It seemed to be a French thing; a lot of French women wore trench coats with perfectly tied bows at the back. I love the attention to this little detail!

Lucie is currently studying commerce in Strasbourg. She’s drawn to pieces that chic and elegant and, as they say in French, “classe” (“classy” in English - it just sounds so much better in French).
